Gym Trainer Ashley Would Like To Battle

“You are challenged by Gym Trainer Ashley!”

I honestly had some trouble deciding on what color the hair should be. In part, I considered he natural black, but then I also figured that blonde was more symbolic and associative the most with ‘Ashley’. The colors of the kimono also went through a few colors before finally stopping at pink and blue, which seemed to go best with the hair color.

so here we have another continuation of the AU. One of the first things Ash found himself experiencing was – thanks to Erika – was a trip to the salon where his messy, wild hair was restyled into a look that would better fit with things. He may not have had a lot of hair, but there was still enough to create a workable style. A little bit of hair dye also brought back color similar to the wig that he wore.

Granted, Ash would need a place to stay. Thankfully (Maybe?), Erika’s family owned a rather nicely sized traditional Japanese home with some available guest rooms.

Being a gym trainer means that Ash would be able to occasionally battle against other trainers looking for a go at Erika. Of course, he would need to use various Gym provided Pokemon since he lacked Grass types other than Bulbasaur.

Despite the issues, though, Ash clearly isn’t going to let it get him down. He still possesses the fire of a Pokemon trainer and the desire to battle. Sure, maybe it also currently comes with having to present himself as a girl, but all that truly matters to him is the ability to still do what he loves the most.

Also, due to this AU, it means that Primeape wouldn’t leave to wrassle, and so would be able to stick around for bonding. Amusingly, it’s easy to see Primeape being more attentive towards ‘Ashley’, potentially having an innocent little crush in the process. It could even be one of the Pokemon Ash would be able to use against other visiting trainers, since Primeape is capable of learning Seed Bomb!
